First Sight of the Next-Generation Toyota RAV4 The new Toyota RAV4 is now starting to materialize! Last week, spied photographers photographed a prototype car on the Detroit streets. Since it was dressed in camouflage gear, people got a limited view of this car, yet they could tell that some critical changes were applied.

New Look for the New RAV4

The face of the RAV4 differs from the currently existing model. It has a new design for the headlights which seems to resemble that of the Toyota Crown Signia. In the upper part, the headlights reach to the corners of the hood while a bar connects them along the top portion of the front. We also observed some holes in the camouflage that resemble what seems to be the grille pattern found at the Crown Signia. The front seems cleaner, flatter, and more symmetrical on the new RAV4 as compared to the old model.

Changes at the Side and Back

Along the side, the design is cleaner. The beltline (the line that runs along the top of the car’s side) goes straight back, with a small curve at the rear. The car might still offer a two-tone roof option, as seen from the trim around the top of the rear. The rear hatch is more upright than before, which could give the car more space for cargo.

Interior Updates

We don't know much about what's inside the new RAV4 yet, but we can see a few things in photos. The car apparently has a large touchscreen integrated into its dashboard. In comparison with its current model, this one appears to sit a little lower. The windshield also seems steeper and could likely enhance how the car looks as well as its aerodynamics.

What's Next?

It still remains a lot that we know nothing about the next-generation Toyota RAV4, but with these early indications, it does seem that Toyota is making quite some exciting changes. The new RAV4 might look sharp and offer better comfort, more space, and tech. Wait for more to see how it finally turns out.
