The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) continues to gain global recognition as multiple foreign countries have officially requested advanced military training from the PAF, said Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Aurangzeb Ahmed during a recent defense briefing. This growing international interest highlights Pakistan’s increasing role as a regional leader in aviation excellence and air combat training.

  • Foreign countries are approaching Pakistan for PAF training

  • Global recognition of PAF’s skills, discipline, and professionalism

  • Boost in military diplomacy and strategic defense ties

  • AVM Aurangzeb confirms international collaboration is underway

  • Rising prestige of Pakistan’s defense forces on global platforms

According to AVM Aurangzeb, countries around the world are impressed by the operational readiness, discipline, and professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force. These attributes have made the PAF a preferred choice for combat and aviation training.

“We are receiving requests from many countries who want to train their pilots and technical staff with us,” said AVM Aurangzeb.

He further emphasized that Pakistan’s training standards are globally respected, and countries see great value in learning from PAF's structured and field-tested programs.

Pakistan already has strong military training partnerships with several nations. These collaborations include technical knowledge sharing, pilot training, joint exercises, and infrastructure development.

Azerbaijan

  • Over 70 Azerbaijani Air Force personnel are receiving training in Pakistan.

  • Focus on technical skills, tactical maneuvers, and operational readiness.

Turkey

  • Long-standing defense ties with Turkey include air training programs.

  • Turkish aircrews frequently participate in exercises with the PAF.

Malaysia

  • Malaysian Air Force personnel are engaged in basic and advanced aviation training programs.

  • Includes simulation training, flight safety courses, and joint drills.

Rwanda

  • Rwanda is working closely with PAF to build its air force from the ground up.

  • Pakistan is providing training, aircraft maintenance support, and air base development assistance.

The Pakistan Air Force is globally recognized for its:

  • Disciplined training modules

  • Operational excellence in high-stakes missions

  • Advanced flight simulation centers

  • Experienced instructors with real-time combat exposure

  • Modern aircraft, including JF-17 Thunder and F-16s

These factors together position PAF as one of the most capable air forces in the region.

“It is not just about flying jets. It’s about strategy, discipline, and technology. Many countries now want their young pilots and crew to learn from our systems and approaches.”

He added that PAF is open to expanding its training programs internationally under strategic agreements and mutual interests.

“PAF is no longer just a national force. It’s becoming a regional trainer and influencer,” says defense expert Lt. Gen. (R) Qamar Haider.

“This is soft power backed by military credibility,” says international relations professor Dr. Anam Zubair.

  • Expand training infrastructure for international cadets

  • Formalize training agreements with more countries

  • Host multinational exercises at Pakistani airbases

  • Introduce new modules in cybersecurity and drone warfare

PAF also plans to invest in digital warfare simulations, AI-based defense systems, and space-based reconnaissance training, making future collaborations even more attractive.

The increasing interest from foreign nations in PAF’s training programs showcases Pakistan’s growing stature as a reliable military partner. At a time when global threats are evolving rapidly, the world is turning to experienced, disciplined, and capable forces like the PAF to build their defense capabilities.

The Pakistan Air Force is not just defending its skies—it is shaping the future of air power across the globe. With countries lining up for access to its elite training programs, PAF has become a global benchmark for air force excellence. As AVM Aurangzeb confirmed, this is just the beginning of Pakistan’s rise as a global aviation training hub.
