Honda & Acura Recall 295,000 Vehicles for Free Software Fix
American Honda is recalling approximately 295,000 Honda and Acura vehicles in the U.S. to update the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) software. A programming issue in the FI-ECU could cause sudden throttle changes, triggering the check engine light and potentially leading to power loss, hesitation, or stalling—posing a crash risk. Honda identified this issue through telematics data and is providing a free software update to fix it. Affected vehicle owners will receive mail notifications in March, instructing them to visit an authorized dealer for the update.
