Mixue Ice Cream & Tea Surpasses McDonald’s as World’s Largest Fast-Food Chain by Outlets . Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, a Chinese franchise renowned for its affordable menu, has officially surpassed McDonald's to become the world’s largest fast-food chain in terms of total outlets. With over 45,000 locations worldwide, Mixue has now exceeded McDonald's global presence, which currently stands at approximately 43,000 restaurants. 

 

Founded in 1997 by Zhang Hongchao in China’s Henan province, Mixue has experienced rapid expansion across Asia and Australia, driven by a cost-efficient business model that prioritizes simplicity, affordability, and accessibility. This strategic approach has made Mixue an attractive option for both franchisees and consumers, fueling its exponential growth in the competitive fast-food industry.
