Makkah’s Young Scouts Volunteer 11,800 Hours to Assist Umrah Pilgrims in Ramadan. During the first 10 days of Ramadan, Makkah’s young scouts demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community service by dedicating a total of 11,800 volunteer hours to assisting Umrah pilgrims. This initiative, organized through the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association’s pilgrim service camp, played a vital role in ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for visitors performing Umrah in the holy city. The voluntary effort was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, which mobilized 295 scouts to participate in this noble cause. These dedicated young volunteers took on various responsibilities, ranging from guiding pilgrims within the sacred sites to offering essential support services that enhanced the overall spiritual journey of worshippers.

To maximize the effectiveness of their efforts, the pilgrim service camp partnered with several key organizations, including the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. This collaboration ensured that operations ran seamlessly, allowing pilgrims to focus on their worship without unnecessary obstacles. Other partners, such as the Makkah Health Cluster and the General Directorate of Public Security, further strengthened the initiative, providing additional logistical and medical support where needed. By engaging in this large-scale volunteer program, Makkah’s young scouts not only upheld the values of community service but also showcased the spirit of generosity and hospitality that defines the holy month of Ramadan. Their dedication highlights the importance of teamwork and civic responsibility in facilitating a smooth pilgrimage experience for thousands of visitors. As Ramadan continues, these scouts remain committed to their mission, reinforcing the significance of volunteerism in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support religious visitors and uphold the sanctity of the holy.
