The Sindh Population Welfare Department has unveiled a new digital platform aimed at providing couples with guidance on family planning and reproductive health. The application offers secure and confidential access to professional advice, ensuring privacy for users seeking information on contraception and safe birth spacing.
Through the app, couples can consult certified counsellors online without needing to visit clinics in person. The platform also includes a locator tool to identify nearby family welfare centers and hospitals offering reproductive health services.
Officials highlighted that the app is designed to address challenges such as lack of awareness, social restrictions, and limited access to in-person family planning services, particularly in remote areas. The pilot rollout will begin in urban districts of Sindh, with plans to gradually expand province-wide.
Health professionals welcomed the initiative, noting that digital platforms can improve accessibility and help couples make informed decisions about reproductive health. The application integrates educational content, interactive guidance, and easy-to-use tools to support responsible family planning practices.
