Pakistan’s U19 volleyball team continued its sensational run at the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship in Tashkent, delivering a commanding straight-sets win over Puerto Rico. This victory keeps Pakistan unbeaten in Pool A and strengthens their position for the knockout stages.

In their fourth consecutive match, the young Pakistani squad dominated Puerto Rico with confident serves, blocks, and seamless teamwork. The straight-sets win reflects Pakistan’s growing form and control over their group opponents.

Earlier in the tournament, the Green Shirts defeated Belgium with set scores of 25‑19, 25‑17, 25‑22. They also routed Uzbekistan and Türkiye, both with convincing 3‑0 victories, establishing themselves as a serious contender in the competition.

Now holding a 4‑0 record, Pakistan leads its group with maximum points. They are one of the few teams in the championship to have won all their matches without dropping a single set.

This year’s U19 Volleyball Championship features 24 nations, divided into four pools of six teams. The top four teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16. Pakistan is placed in Pool A along with Argentina, Türkiye, Puerto Rico, Belgium, and Uzbekistan. Their next challenge will be against Argentina, a match that could solidify their top placement.

The Pakistan squad, featuring talents like Mohammad Yahya (captain), Tayyab Khan, Mohammad Hassan, Muhammad Saud, and others, is led by head coach Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady. The players have displayed maturity, unity, and discipline — qualities that are now being recognized internationally.

Officials from the Pakistan Volleyball Federation have lauded the team’s exceptional performance, noting that their dedication and preparation are paying off. The Federation also acknowledged the positive impact such achievements have on the promotion of volleyball across Pakistan.

With momentum on their side and an unshakable team spirit, Pakistan’s U19 squad is well on its way to rewriting history in their world championship debut — and fans back home couldn’t be prouder.
