Petrol crosses Rs 270 as government hikes prices once again

The federal government has announced another hike in the prices of petroleum products.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 1.50. 50 per liter to Rs 272.15 while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 2. 11.37 per liter to Rs 284.35 per liter.

In the last fortnightly review of petroleum prices, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 1.50 paise from Rs 8.36 per litre to Rs 266.79, while the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 10.39 to Rs 272.98 per litre.

Additionally, during the mid-June review, the government increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs. 2. 4.80 per litre and Rs. 7.95 per litre respectively.
