Rohit Sharma is likely to be a part of the grand opening of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan:
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025- is which is happening in Pakistan, and all hopes and doubts are being sparked about whether the Indian Team leader Rohit Sharma shall be face to perform the opening ceremony. But, on the other hand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stressed the existence of no national plan or a request with respect to Sharma's attendance at this event.
The Guardian reported that Saikia, an anonymous BCCI source, claimed, "our organization has recently said that we have not seen a formal regulation. That's never been an issue for us concerning discussions with the ICC.” as one of the Indian representatives, he had to clarify his stand on receiving a green light to leave for a tour of Pakistan, which is supposed to be a day or two before the first match of the tournament.
The BCCI had earlier made a statement that the Indian team should not go to Pakistan due to the ongoing political unrest and security concerns. Nevertheless, the hybrid system that both of them Rangers decided to agree on, which will make sure India is sent to Dubai for their matches, is a good idea.
The agreement will be implemented in all ICC events making the India-Pakistan matches other a neutral venue until 2027.
India was placed in Group A alongside Pakistan while the other teams are New Zealand and Bangladesh. On February 20, the Indian team begins their journey with Bangladesh then they play against Pakistan on February 23 they will conclude the group stage with New Zealand on March 2.
