Fly Jinnah Secures Approval for Karachi-Dhaka Direct Flights
Pakistan’s first low-cost airline, Fly Jinnah, has received approval from Bangladeshi authorities to operate direct flights between Karachi and Dhaka. This step is set to improve air connectivity between the two countries. Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mohammad Iqbal Hussain, had earlier hinted at the launch of direct flights. Additionally, cargo flights will soon connect Dhaka with Karachi and Lahore to enhance trade and business ties. The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has approved Fly Jinnah’s request, but the airline must appoint a General Sales Agent (GSA) before confirming flight schedules. This initiative follows the launch of a direct shipping route between Chittagong and Karachi, further boosting economic relations.
