Hajj Begins Today as Millions of Pilgrims Arrive in Mina
The sacred pilgrimage of Hajj has officially begun today as millions of Muslims from across the world have arrived in Mina, Saudi Arabia. This marks the start of one of the most significant religious gatherings in the Islamic calendar and a deeply spiritual journey for every pilgrim.

The sacred pilgrimage of Hajj 2025 has officially begun, with over 2.5 million Muslims from more than 180 countries arriving in Mina to embark on one of Islam’s holiest journeys.
This year’s pilgrimage marks a historic milestone as Saudi Arabia integrates advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to ensure smooth management, safety, and real-time assistance for millions of pilgrims gathered for the five-day sacred journey.
Record-Breaking Participation After Global Recovery
Following years of travel restrictions, Hajj 2025 is witnessing record attendance, with pilgrims from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas converging in Makkah, Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

Pakistani medical teams and Muavineen are on-ground in Mina to support local pilgrims, while the Pakistani Hajj App offers location sharing, emergency alerts, and Urdu guidance to ensure convenience and safety.
The Spiritual Beginning in Mina
After performing Umrah and donning the Ihram, pilgrims began their journey from Makkah to Mina, located eight kilometers away. Mina, famously known as the City of Tents, hosts hundreds of thousands of air-conditioned tents to accommodate pilgrims during the rites.
“The sound of millions chanting the Talbiyah in unison is truly a moment of spiritual unity,” shared a pilgrim from Malaysia.
AI and Smart Technology Enhancing the Hajj Experience
For the first time, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has rolled out AI-powered tools designed to assist pilgrims at every step — from navigation to health monitoring.
