In a shocking escalation of digital warfare, Pakistani cyber attackers have successfully infiltrated and defaced hundreds of Indian websites, including government portals, news platforms, and educational institutions. Indian cybersecurity experts have termed this the “largest coordinated cyber offensive from Pakistan” in recent years.

According to multiple Indian news agencies and independent cybersecurity watchdogs:

  • Over 700 Indian websites were hacked in the last 48 hours

  • The attack is believed to be retaliatory, responding to ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan

  • Messages displayed on hacked sites included pro-Palestinian slogans, anti-India messages, and Pakistani national symbols

The cyberattack was not random — it was strategically executed to cause maximum disruption and media impact.

Sectors affected include:

  • Indian Government websites (local state portals and municipal systems)

  • Health departments and hospital systems

  • Educational portals, including universities and examination boards

  • Media and news websites

  • Private e-commerce platforms with Indian domains

Several known Pakistani hacking groups, including Team Revolution PK, PHC (Pakistan Hackers Crew), and Death Aimers, have claimed responsibility for the attack on social media.
