Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the organization of Mehfil Shabeena, a week-long Qur’an recitation event at Islamabad’s Shah Faisal Mosque from Ramadan 21 to 27. This sacred gathering will feature 14 renowned reciters, carefully selected from a pool of 56 nominees across the country. Mehfil Shabeena is a cherished tradition in which the entire Qur’an, comprising over 6,000 verses, is recited over multiple nights during the final ten days of Ramadan—a period of immense spiritual significance for Muslims. With Ramadan anticipated to begin in late February or early March, preparations for this highly revered event are already in full swing.
