The airline has announced that it will operate special flights to facilitate the transportation of Pakistani pilgrims to Mecca and Medina in time for the annual pilgrimage. The pre-Hajj operations will run for several weeks, with PIA planning to operate over 200 flights from various cities across Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar. These flights will be carefully scheduled to ensure a smooth and efficient journey for all pilgrims, with a focus on providing comfort and convenience during their travels. PIA officials stated that the airline has taken all necessary steps to enhance services and facilities for the pilgrims, including dedicated staff and assistance for elderly passengers and those with special needs. The airline has also ensured that all health and safety protocols are in place, in line with international standards and guidelines.

The Hajj operations will be conducted under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and PIA will work closely with Saudi authorities to ensure the safe and timely arrival of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. The airline has also made arrangements to operate additional flights if the demand exceeds initial estimates. With the Hajj season approaching, the efforts of PIA reflect its long-standing commitment to providing reliable and affordable transportation for Pakistan’s pilgrims. The airline’s contribution is vital in ensuring that 56,000 pilgrims can fulfill their religious obligations with ease. The announcement has been welcomed by religious organizations and pilgrims, who express gratitude for the airline’s continuous support in making the Hajj pilgrimage a smoother experience for Pakistani Muslims. PIA urges all passengers to arrive at the airport well in advance of their scheduled departure times and follow the guidelines issued by both the airline and the government to ensure smooth and timely boarding.
