The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 will resume on May 17 (Saturday) after a one-week break and will conclude with the grand final on May 25 (Sunday) at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, according to a revised schedule shared by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on social media.

The remaining eight matches of the tournament will now be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore, instead of the original three venues which included Multan. The change comes after the league was suspended on May 8 (Thursday) due to a serious security situation.

The PSL was halted following an airstrike by India on May 7, which violated Pakistan’s airspace and targeted civilian areas, including Rawalpindi, where matches were being held. The incident resulted in 26 casualties and raised major safety concerns across the country.

One of the airstrikes even damaged the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, making it unsafe for players and staff. The Pakistan government, prioritizing the safety of local and international players and media crews, decided to pause the tournament.

A ceasefire agreement was reached on May 11, following mediation by US President Donald Trump, allowing the tournament to safely resume.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi shared an uplifting message:
HBL PSL X  picks up from where it left off! Six teams, zero fear. Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket. Get ready for eight thrilling matches starting May 17, leading up to the Grand Final on May 25. Best of luck to all the teams.”

Although more details on the new schedule are expected soon, a meeting between PCB and franchise owners on Monday confirmed the decision to continue the league from May 17.

Despite the new PSL final date, the Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I series, originally scheduled to start on May 25 in Faisalabad, is expected to be adjusted by a day or two and will not be affected.
