The Makkah Route Initiative, launched in 2019, streamlines immigration procedures for pilgrims by allowing them to complete immigration formalities at their departure airports in Pakistan.

    • Islamabad International Airport: 28,000 pilgrims

    • Jinnah International Airport, Karachi: 22,500 pilgrims

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf:

"As Hajj pilgrims, you are traveling to the sacred land as the guests of Allah and ambassadors of Pakistan. Respect the laws and culture of Saudi Arabia."

He also announced plans to visit Saudi Arabia to personally oversee the arrangements and pledged full support for Pakistani pilgrims
