Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh has exceeded $1 billion, marking a significant milestone following improved relations after Sheikh Hasina's departure. Under the leadership of Nobel laureate Yunus, both nations are focused on strengthening economic cooperation. Pakistan exports cotton, rice, apparel, and mangoes to Bangladesh, while Bangladesh supplies pineapple, jute, and garments. A key development is Pakistan’s first rice export to Bangladesh in nearly two decades, with 26,000 metric tons shipped this month to help stabilize Bangladesh’s rice market amid rising prices. Plans for direct flights between the two countries aim to further enhance trade and diplomatic ties.
