Archaeologists in Egypt have uncovered the tomb of King Thutmose II, marking the first royal burial discovery in the region since Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. Found west of the Valley of the Kings, the site was identified through inscribed alabaster fragments and funerary texts, shedding light on 18th Dynasty burial traditions. Though ancient flooding caused damage, the discovery provides valuable artifacts and insights into Egypt’s royal history.
