Jazz has announced the extension of its free calling services to all networks in the flood-affected regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), enabling thousands of residents to stay connected during the ongoing crisis.

Previously, the company had limited this initiative to free on-net, PTCL, and 911 calls. With this expansion, families, emergency responders, and humanitarian agencies can now communicate freely across all networks without barriers.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, highlighted the importance of communication in disaster situations, saying:
“Connectivity is a lifeline in times of crisis, and Jazz stands with every Pakistani impacted by these floods.”

Flood Impact in KP

The recent monsoon floods have caused widespread destruction across Buner, Swat, Shangla, Dir, and Chitral. Hundreds of homes, roads, and vital infrastructure have been damaged, leaving communities cut off and vulnerable. Relief operations are ongoing as authorities and aid agencies struggle to provide urgent assistance.

Jazz’s Role in Crisis Response

  • Extended free calls to all networks in flood-affected areas.

  • Ensuring uninterrupted communication for affected families.

  • Supporting rescue and relief operations through nationwide connectivity.

  • Committed to long-term resilience and disaster recovery support.

Connectivity plays a critical role during emergencies. Families can contact loved ones, aid workers can coordinate rescue missions, and affected communities can reach out for urgent help. By removing communication barriers, Jazz has provided a lifeline to thousands of people in KP.

As Pakistan faces repeated challenges from natural disasters, initiatives like these highlight the importance of public-private partnerships and corporate responsibility in supporting vulnerable communities.
