Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed that the New Gwadar International Airport will begin operations on January 20, marking a key milestone for the region's development.
Initially, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will handle flights, with international airlines also expressing interest in connecting to this new hub. Situated in Balochistan, Gwadar’s strategic
location along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is set to drive economic growth by enhancing trade and tourism.The modern airport, equipped for international flights and larger      aircraft, promises advanced security features and state-of-the-art amenities. This step brings Gwadar closer to becoming a global trade and maritime hub. In addition, PIA has resumed flights to Europe after a four-and-a-half-year break, with the first flight to Paris now operational.
