Strong tremors rattled Peshawar, Zhob, and surrounding areas, causing panic as residents rushed out of their homes and offices while reciting Kalma Tayyiba. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.1, with its epicenter near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported. Earlier, a separate 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck Zhob, Balochistan, with a depth of 22 km and an epicenter 13 km west of the city. Just three days ago, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Azad Kashmir also experienced a 4.8 magnitude quake, adding to growing seismic concerns in the region.
