Each ferry features a 16 MW electric system with four battery units (11,500 kW each) that recharge in just 40 minutes at the port. They can carry 804 passengers, 225 vehicles, and reach speeds of 26 knots. The ferries are being built at Spain’s Armon shipyard and will be completed in about two and a half years.
