UAE Introduces DXV Vertiport, First Hub for Commercial Flying Taxis in Dubai
Dubai has introduced its first commercial vertiport, Dubai International Vertiport (DXV), marking a major step in the city’s air mobility evolution.
Located close to Dubai International Airport (DXB), DXV will serve as the base for flying taxis, set to launch in 2026. With the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) approving the vertiport’s technical design, this milestone boosts the UAE's efforts to lead in air mobility.
Skyports Infrastructure is moving forward with the development of DXV, as part of a broader network of four vertiports supporting the future of air taxis in Dubai. This collaboration involves Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Joby Aviation, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to advancing safe and sustainable aviation technologies
