TikTok announces U.S. shutdown on January 19, 2025, unless the Supreme Court delays or blocks the law requiring ByteDance to divest ownership. 

The mandate, passed in April 2024 due to national security concerns, will be reviewed by the Court, which will decide if these concerns outweigh free speech protections.
