India’s pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, has been ruled out of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 due to a lower back injury sustained during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in January. In his absence, young fast bowler Harshit Rana, who has impressed with two wickets in his first two ODI appearances against England, has been named as his replacement. This is the second ICC tournament Bumrah has missed due to back issues, the first being the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
