PM Shehbaz Sharif Holds Cordial Call with Saudi Crown Prince MBS, Stresses Unity of Muslim Ummah & Regional Stability

Islamabad : In a significant diplomatic engagement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a cordial phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) on Wednesday, reaffirming the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the leaders discussed regional developments, bilateral cooperation, and the importance of unity within the Muslim Ummah.

The PM conveyed his warm wishes to Crown Prince Mohammed and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, while expressing gratitude for the kingdom’s continued support and affection towards Pakistan. The call was described as “very warm and cordial,” reflecting the close diplomatic relations shared by Islamabad and Riyadh.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the need for unity and harmony among Muslim nations, especially in light of ongoing regional challenges. He emphasized that regional peace and stability could only be maintained through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual cooperation.

The Saudi Crown Prince, in response, thanked the Pakistani PM for the call and reiterated Riyadh’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest. Furthermore, Crown Prince Mohammed expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year, signaling continued strengthening of diplomatic and economic ties.

In a related development, PM Shehbaz Sharif also met with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy to discuss regional and global developments. The meeting further reinforced the mutual desire to enhance bilateral cooperation and maintain regional stability. The ambassador conveyed warm greetings from the Saudi leadership, reflecting the deep-rooted friendship and collaboration between the two nations.
