The PSCA introduces an online review system allowing Punjab citizens to cancel wrong or duplicate e-challans directly from home via portal or app.

Punjab Launches Online Portal to Cancel Wrong or Duplicate Traffic Challans

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a new digital review system enabling citizens to cancel duplicate or incorrect traffic challans online. The move aims to streamline complaint handling, reduce congestion at traffic offices, and ensure transparency in the province’s smart traffic enforcement network.

The initiative allows vehicle owners to verify, review, and dispute challans issued in error  such as duplicate entries or plate number mismatches directly through the official PSCA portal or mobile application.

“Public feedback highlighted frequent complaints about duplicate challans and minor system errors,” said a PSCA spokesperson. “This new feature ensures that such issues can be resolved promptly, without requiring citizens to visit physical offices.”

How to Cancel a Wrong or Duplicate Challan

The process is simple and can be completed in just a few minutes:

  1. Visit the official PSCA e-Challan portal: echallan.psca.gop.pk
  2. Enter your vehicle registration number and CNIC to view your traffic fines.

  3. Select the “Review” option beside the duplicate or incorrect challan.

  4. Provide a short explanation of the issue  for example, “This challan was issued twice for the same violation.”

  5. (Optional) Upload relevant evidence such as photos, video footage, or proof of incorrect entry.

  6. Submit the request. Once verified by PSCA’s technical team, the invalid challan will be removed automatically from the system.

Mobile App Support

The feature is also available on the PSCA Public Safety mobile app, accessible on both Android and iOS platforms. The app allows users to check fines, track review status, and manage challans directly from their phones.

“The goal is to make traffic management more citizen-friendly,” the spokesperson added. “With just a few clicks, people can now correct system-generated errors from the comfort of their homes.”

Purpose Behind the Initiative

The PSCA operates an extensive network of automated traffic enforcement cameras across Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi. These cameras record thousands of violations every day.
While the system maintains high accuracy, occasional duplicate entries or misread number plates have caused inconvenience for motorists.

The new digital review tool addresses these challenges by allowing direct online verification, eliminating the need for manual paperwork or in-person visits.

Public Advisory

Authorities have cautioned citizens to only use the official website or verified PSCA app for submitting review requests.
The service is free of cost, and no private agent or third-party service is authorized to offer challan correction or cancellation.

The PSCA’s online challan review system marks a significant step toward smart governance and citizen facilitation in Punjab.
By integrating real-time verification and remote dispute handling, the province continues to strengthen its Safe City initiative and move toward digitally empowered public services.
