Snowstorm in Northern Balochistan Subsides, Restoration Efforts Continue
The snowstorm in northern Balochistan has subsided, as reported by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). However, a strong western weather system continues to affect the region, with snowfall still ongoing in the upper border areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Despite challenging conditions, rescue and restoration efforts by Levies Force, PDMA, and the National Highway Authority (NHA) are in full swing to restore normalcy. The N-25 highway at Kozhak Top, connecting Quetta and Karachi, has been partially restored, while the N-50 highway, linking Balochistan to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has reopened for traffic, as confirmed by the control room.
