Sialkot, Pakistan, produces nearly 70% of the world’s soccer balls, continuing its long tradition of sports equipment manufacturing. The city’s factories supplied balls for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and sold many replicas to fans worldwide. According to the local chamber of commerce, Sialkot produced over 43 million soccer balls worth $191 million in 2021-22. Additionally, exports of Pakistani-made footballs increased by 53.5 % in the first six months of 2022-23. These figures highlight Pakistan’s major role in the global sports industry, competing with countries like India and China. Sialkot remains the largest supplier of sports goods, exporting its products worldwide.
