Elon Musk's Starlink Seeks Approval to Set Up Ground Stations in Pakistan

Elon Musk’s Starlink is taking steps to expand into Pakistan by registering as "Starlink Internet Services (Private) Limited" with the SECP.

The company has applied to set up 2-3 ground stations to provide internet through low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Regulatory approvals are in progress, with the PTA and other authorities assessing the technical and legal aspects. Starlink’s entry could bring a major boost to connectivity, especially in remote areas, while complying with the National Satellite Policy 2023 and Pakistan Space Activities Rules 2024.

If approved, Starlink will bring high-speed satellite internet across Pakistan.
