Rare Planetary Parade: Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus Align in January
This month, skywatchers across the US, Canada, and Mexico can enjoy a spectacular celestial event as six planets Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus align in the night sky.
While the brighter planets are visible to the naked eye, telescope enthusiasts can spot Neptune and Uranus. The alignment will last for about a month, peaking in late February when Mercury
joins to create a remarkable seven-planet alignment. For the best viewing experience, observe just after sunset during the new moon week starting January 29.
