New Iftar Guidelines Introduced at Prophet’s Mosque for Ramadan

To ensure an organized and smooth iftar service at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, new guidelines have been implemented. The General Authority for Care of the Two Holy Mosques has approved an updated menu, allowing meal providers to include two additional items like nuts, pies, maamoul, or stuffed dates alongside the standard meal of dates, bread, yogurt, water, and tissues. Only registered catering companies with experience in serving Hajj and Umrah pilgrims will be allowed to participate, meeting strict hygiene and logistical standards, including refrigerated transport and proper packing facilities. Coordination with mosque officials will ensure high-quality, timely meal distribution. Separately, Pakistan’s government has decided to remove Utility Stores from the Ramadan Relief Package due to concerns over corruption and poor-quality goods.
