Dao Dao Noodle Soup Recipe
Dao Dao noodle soup is a traditional dish from Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, known for its comforting and hearty flavors.

Ingredients
- Mince chicken or beef 500grams
- Onion 1 medium-sized (chopped)
- Crushed black pepper 1tbsp
- 2 tbsp oil
- Tomatoes 2 medium-sized
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder ½ tbsp
- Water or broth 9-10 cups
- Whole wheat flour dough
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder ¼ tbsp
- Ginger Garlic paste 2 tbsp

Directions
Prepare the Meat:
Heat oil in a large pot, Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds. Add the onions in the oil until light golden. Then add ginger and garlic paste to it. Add chicken or beef and cook.
Add the tomatoes and the above-mentioned spices and cook for 4-5 minutes. Now add water to the pan and boil it on high flame. Cover partially and let the soup cook for 15 minutes on low flame. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates.
Prepare the Noodles
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead into a firm dough. Cover and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Roll out the dough into a thin sheet and cut into thin strips to make noodles.
Cook the Soup
Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add meat and cook until browned. Add chopped tomatoes, cumin powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften. Pour in water or broth and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the meat is tender. Add the handmade noodles and cook for another 5-7 minutes until soft.
Serve the Dao Dao noodle soup hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
