Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is expected to be observed on March 31, according to astronomical predictions and expert analyses. The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council has indicated that the crescent moon for Shawwal is likely to be visible on the evening of March 30, making March 31 the first day of Eid in many countries, including Pakistan. The sighting of the Shawwal moon is a significant event, determining the official day of Eid celebrations. Religious scholars, astronomers, and officials will convene to confirm the sighting before an official announcement is made.

If the moon is sighted as expected, Muslims in Pakistan and several other regions will come together on March 31 for Eid prayers, festive gatherings, and charitable giving. Eid-ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion marked by prayers, feasts, gift exchanges, and acts of kindness, symbolizing gratitude and unity. However, the final confirmation of Eid’s date depends on the official decision of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will meet on March 30 to verify moon sightings across different locations. Until then, preparations for the grand celebration continue with anticipation.
