Emirates Airlines is gearing up to create a major cargo hub at Karachi Airport, driven by increasing demand for cargo services.

The airline has requested 90,000 square feet at the airport's cargo terminal, where it already dominates the market, handling over 27,000 tons of cargo in 2024 compared to PIA's 2,000 tons. The Karachi Airport authority is working on allocating the requested space to Emirates. In a sustainable move, Emirates has also teamed up with Etihad Clean Energy to launch a solar energy project for its Engineering Centre.
